Okwara Community Foundation (OCF) Promoting Philanthropy!
The foundation is the brain-child of Dr. Ben Okwara and Engr. Julius Okwara from Isiekenesi in Ideato South, Imo State, Nigeria.
Dr. Ben Okwara is a highly accomplished Nigerian physician of Igbo descent, based in the United States of America. He is widely respected for his professional excellence and his deep commitment to humanitarian causes, particularly in the area of education.
Engr. Julius Okwara, a successful entrepreneur and community leader, shares this same passion for giving back. Together, they have dedicated their time, resources, and expertise to improving lives through impactful philanthropic initiatives.
Their shared vision gave rise to the Okwara Community Foundation, which focuses on education, youth empowerment, and community development—helping to build a brighter future for individuals and families across communities.
At a yearly expenditure of about N50million, the project coordinator, Rev. Fr. Jude Udokwu did not mince words about the zeal and passion attached to the project by the founders.
When Okwara Community Foundation (OCF) was established years ago, little did she envisage of rapid global recognition. But that was not to be as the foundation’s acceptability acclaim spread like wildfire: where would one start to catalog series of successes in uplifting the plight of the less privileged; yearly free education and scholarship awards up to university level, free medical services, regular eye treatment and do dolling out cash and items to the needy during festive periods and lots more both in Nigeria and America.
